Programs

School Age (Grade 1-6)

Our Before and After School Program runs Monday through Friday from
7:00 am to 9:10 am and 3:55 pm to 6:00 pm on regular school days.
We offer full days programming on Inservice Days and School holidays -
Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks

We offer hands-on activities based on the children’s interests, gym activities
and outside time. We also offer milk and a light snack in the afternoons. 

Kindergarten

We offer a half day Kindergarten program, providing they are registered in the morning class at Bonnycastle school. This is the only school we service, and you must
be in the catchment area of this school to be enrolled.

The children enjoy some social interactions with their peers while eating their lunch.
They enjoy some fresh air outdoors, and various planned activities, based on our
observations of the children’s interests. There is time for big projects
and creativity, and by then it’s time to be reunited with their family!

Nursery School

Cairns Children’s Centre offers a nursery school program to children ages 3 and 4.  The program runs Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Nursery School
does not run during Winter, Spring and Summer breaks and is closed
on all school Inservice days and Statutory holidays.
