Preschool Program

We offer a Preschool program for children who are headed to Parc La Salle School when they go to Kindergarten.
For 2025-2026, we’re accepting children born in 2021 or 2022 only (three and four years old). The program runs Mondays - Friday
from 7am to 6pm, except Statutory Holidays.

Kindergarten Program

In order to be eligible for the Kindergarten program offered by Cairns Children's Centre, your child must be a
Kindergarten student registered at Parc La Salle school by May 1st of the year they head to Kindergarten.
The children attend the Parc La Salle Kindergarten class on alternating School Days and
participate in our Child Care program on the opposite days.

The program runs Mondays - Fridays from 7am to 6pm, except Statutory Holidays. We walk the
children to their Kindergarten class on their school days, and pick them up afterward.
We provide a play-based learning environment for the children. The children enjoy outdoor play, circle time;
planned & unplanned activities; a story-time and a morning or afternoon snack.

Before and After School

We offer a Before and After School program for children ages 6-12, who attend Parc La Salle or
La Barriere Crossing (LBC) School. Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
We also operate full days on Parc La Salle In-service days and School Breaks (Summer, Winter, & Spring).

Our program consists of activities planned based on the children's interests,
outside or gym time, unstructured play time, and a light snack/milk.
